How did you get into radio?
I started out on St James’ Hospital Radio and doing back room work at Magic 828.
What do you love about your job?
I love the listeners. I love talking to them and they never fail to make me laugh. I also love being out and about and putting faces to names.
What do you dislike about your job?
When technology fails (which is rare) but it’s amazing how much we all rely on it these days.
Who is the most famous person you have met?
Crikey! I’m not into the celeb thing really. I have been lucky enough to have worked with some nice celebs but I guess I’m still in awe of the radio presenters I grew up listening to like DLT, the late great Peter Tait, Carl Kingston and Ray Stroud. I have been fortunate to end up working alongside all of them at some point in my career and I thank them for the inspiration.
What is your strangest piece of fan mail?
Now where do I start? I have received letters of undying love, underwear and some from women too!
